Planning a trip to Australia?  Book a stay at Kalamunda, "Aussie hospitality at its best!"  This picturesque B&B is set on 5½ acres in the tranquil Orara Valley, near the magnificent Coffs Harbour beaches and only 1 km (half a mile) from the historic village of Coramba.

Who hasn't daydreamed at least once about a tropical island retreat?  Check out French Polynesia!  TahitiTravel gives you the information you need to book your dream trip.  For instance:  You do not need to get ANY Immunization shots prior to going to French Polynesia.  There are NO snakes, poisonous spiders or any land critters that can hurt or sting you.  Tahiti, the largest island of French Polynesia, is beautiful but (comparatively) heavily populated; the other islands nearby (Moorea, Bora Bora, Huahine) are peaceful oasis of beauty and romance.  The tropical weather is yours year-round; there is no real rainy or dry season, and French Polynesia is outside the hurricane zones as well.

If an ocean cruise is your dream, you'll want to check out Cruiseopinion.com, the #1 Cruise Review Database, plus great cruise prices & service.  "Get unbiased opinions, ratings, and comments from fellow cruisers that have sailed on the ship you're thinking about.  It's a great resource for new and experienced cruisers!"  They ARE good reviews, very detailed - I checked!

Still don't know where to go?  Try TravelSites.com's Where To Go index of information on world-wide travel locations.  Everywhere from Angola to Zambia!  Tired of the same old places?  Check out Vanuatu or Dubai, Slovenia or Azerbaijan!

TRAVEL SAFE - don't let your vacation be ruined by theft!  Watch for this common pickpocket scam:  A stranger will come up to you and tell you that there is something on your clothing - a food stain, say, or "Bird! bird!" and will start "cleaning it off" for you - usually on your back where you can't see.  During this diversion, while the first person is pretending to clean you off (and engaging you in conversation), a confederate will be quietly lifting your wallet, camera, or whatever else looks tempting.  When the goods have been spirited away, they pat you on the back and say "All done!"
Remember, as a tourist/traveller your must always be aware of your surroundings and cautious of strangers.  Don't ever feel obliged or compelled to respond back to a person trying to engage you in conversation.

General Travel Links: Canada

If you think of Canada as waist-high snow and igloos from the border to the North Pole, you're in for quite a surprise!  From the temperate rain forest of B.C.'s coast to the (almost) midnight sun at Dawson in the Yukon, from the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City to Chateau Lake Louise in Banff National Park, from the gentle Atlantic maritime countryside of Prince Edward Island to the magnificent Pacific wilderness of the Queen Charlotte Islands, from metropolitan (and cosmopolitan) Toronto to back-country small towns like Alix, Alberta and Spuzzum, B.C., Canada has something for every traveler.  Try us out!

Banff National Park is incredibly beautiful...and just the beginning!  Find out more about Canada's parks at Great Canadian Parks.  Canadians support a park experience that tourists keep coming bank to again and again, parks that protect, preserve and provide access to a vast array of ecological zones that support thousands of species, parks where people can hike, camp, fish, ski, raft or just get far away from it all in remote and amazing environments.  At Great Canadian Parks you can explore Canada's history, ecology and culture through words, pictures, QuickTime™ movies, quizzes and crosswords.

The Alberta Country Vacations Association invites you to take the trail less traveled - from the prairies to the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.  "Join us in Alberta, Canada ... for the Farm & Ranch holiday of a lifetime!"  The ACVA is comprised of independent ranch and farm families located throughout southern and central Alberta, Canada.  Its members have a reputation for providing authentic "country-style" western Canadian hospitality:  food, lodging, activity, friendliness.  And no, you don't have to bring a parka in July - day temperatures in an Alberta summer range from 75 to 90 (or more) with pleasantly cool nights.  Many operators provide horseback riding as part of the working ranch experience; others feature canoeing, hiking, fishing, camping, specialty retreats and regional proximity to major attractions.

If horses are your thing, go for Trail Riders of the Canadian Rockies.  The Trail Riders of the Canadian Rockies is a non-profit club which has been organizing horseback trail rides in the Canadian Rockies since 1923, most often in Banff National Park.  A lot of the history of the Rockies is related to that of the TRCR.  TRCR has a cycle of rides into a number of different areas in the Rockies, a different site each year.  For 2006, the TRCR featured 12 six-day rides (with up to 15 people on most rides) in the area northwest of Waterton Lakes National Park.  Riders come from many different places and all walks of life who share their joy of the wilderness.  Riders bring their own personal gear.  The TRCR supplies all horses, western tack, great meals, and accommodation in their Native Canadian-style teepees or tents at Teepee Town.  Environmental awareness has always been a top priority of the TRCR, and they have been a leader in reducing back-country impact.  This is wilderness camping so there are no telephones, radios or electricity, but there is hot water and a shower in Teepee Town.

For information on whale watching, check out Jamie's Whaling Station, operating out of Tofino and Ucluelet on the west coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada.  Jamie's Whaling Station is the pioneer Whale Watching, Bear Watching and Hot Springs Adventure Company operating since 1982 in Tofino BC and in Ucluelet BC since 2000.  We are the most experienced Whale Watchers on the West Coast.  In addition to our Whale Watch and Hot Springs Adventure tours, we offer Bear Watching, Sea Kayaking in Clayoquot Sound and Barkley Sound, as well as Surf lessons, Scenic Float Plane tours and much more.
